The Infector is very easy to shoot down and should be focussed on before it attempts to infect any bodies nearby. This Necromorph makes its first appearance with an iconic and terrifying scene, truly showing off the capabilities of Motive Studio. Their goal is to infect the bodies, transforming them into Necromorphs. The Infector is a winged Necromorph which appears in rooms filled with bodies that have not been infected.

Instead, go up to them and stomp on them instead of using any weapon of Stasis. There is absolutely no need in using your weapon against them as they do not move. Keep in mind as they are not particularly hostile that you want to conserve as much ammo as possible. If they are in a room with other Necromorph types, you should focus on stomping on the Wheezer first to eliminate the gas threat. You need to take these out as quickly as you can. They do not attack you aside from filling the room with gas that if you take too long to kill the Wheezer, you will suffocate. They appear hunched over with a gigantic belly filled with toxic gas.
